Nothing short of 5 stars. The owner went above and beyond to accommodate us by operating past closing time. The food was pretty good. We ordered white chicken karahi, which was the best. The BBQ was also spot on. The only thing we didn't like was the chicken Peshawari karahi. It was basically chicken cooked in tomato gravy. Just a heads-up, there is not enough dining space, so it is advised to call and reserve your spot, but the food and their welcoming behavior are worth the wait!

Absolutely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had! The two things that matter most—service and taste—were both outstanding. The staff was warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home. And the food? Bursting with authentic Karachi flavors, cooked to perfection. Every dish tasted fresh, rich, and full of love. Highly recommended for anyone who values amazing food and top-notch service!

The beef haleem is absolutely delicious! The housemade till wala naan and garlic naan are incredibly fluffy and the perfect way to eat with the haleem The decor itself is gorgeous on the inside with comfortable seating and booths for larger groups, absolutely would recommend and excited to come back to try more from their menu!

We visited Apna Karachi Kitchen on a Saturday without knowing much about Calgary’s restaurants. We were simply drawn by the name “Karachi,” which reminded us of home. When we arrived, we saw a crowd waiting outside and thought we might not get a table anytime soon. But to our surprise, a kind and professional staff member quickly helped us and found a table for our family of four right away. From the moment we stepped in, everything felt warm and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, flavorful, and prepared to perfection. The ambiance was cozy and family-friendly, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal together. The service was outstanding. The staff were attentive and made sure we were comfortable throughout. Before leaving, we stopped at the front desk to share our feedback, where we met – we believe – the owner. He was a very respectful and kind gentleman, greeting each guest with warmth and genuine care. It was clear that he truly values every customer who walks in. Overall, we had an excellent experience – from the food to the service and atmosphere. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Apna Karachi Kitchen to anyone looking for authentic flavors and heartfelt hospitality.

Food was great. The taste replicated the palette of Karachi. The atmosphere was nice and clean. The occupancy rate was high on a weekday and the turnover rate was swift. I estimate a turnover time of 1.5 to 2hrs. There is a wait time of 30 to 45 minutes. I would recommend booking/reserving ahead instead of walking in. The wait is worth it even for walking in. Even those that would reserve may need to wait 10 to 15 minutes to be seated but would be seated first. There are 4 tables of 5 to 6, 3 tables of 4 and 2 tables of 3 to 4 people and a U shaped section of 8 to 10 people. There are two accessible washrooms (1 male, 1 female) and two stations to wash hands outside the washrooms. The parking in front was of 3 cars and parking across to an island was of 5 cars or more. There is ample parking in the lot as I could not see a reservation of stalls by the vendors. The cost of food was relatively economical 10$/adult and 5$/kid and the serving quantity was ample enough for having leftovers. The hospitality was great. This place was a great discovery for us. I would definitely bring friends and acquaintances here and recommend the same to those that need to host occasions or guests.

Excellent Pakistani bbq, parathas and naan. They have a small seating space so it’s better to call ahead and ask them to reserve a spot for you. They make the food fresh, so if you have a big order call ahead and they can get it started for you. Extremely welcoming and accommodating owner and the bbq - probably the best I’ve had outside of Pakistan! Forgot to take pics when the food arrived, the serving sizes are larger - this is just what was leftover

The food at Apna Karachi kitchen is quite tasty, and the presentation is impressive. The quality is definitely above average — better than some of the larger, more well-known places in Calgary. It’s a smaller spot, but don’t let that fool you — the taste speaks for itself! Staff friendliness could use a bit of improvement, but overall, it was a good experience. I’d still recommend it if you’re looking for authentic flavours and a satisfying meal.

Ordered x2 Niharis, Fried daal maash, Naan, Khubani ka meethha and Milk tea. Naan was fluffy, daal Maash was really delicious. Although Nihari was delicious but not the best as one can expect from a Karachi restaurant. Prices are very reasonable. Owner/ Manager was very friendly and Caring. Washrooms was cleaned. Over all very good experience and value for money.
